This is a 4x5” oldie from my days of “Tea Bag Art”. The image is
painted on used, dried and torn tea bags, then glued to handmade
paper with bits of grass in it. I never finished this piece, but
I like and kept it. I hope to do some tea bag art again soon.
Does half a face count?
as long as your art features a face.
great piece Barbara
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I think half a face should count - ;))
ReplyDeleteInteresting, I wouldn't have the patience to dry and keep the teabags to do this. Of course, much of my tea is herbal and some of the blends are different colors, like the Hibiscus. Those would have a decided pink cast I am sure.
ReplyDeleteI love this. I have thought of trying this technique-you have done it so well. It's mysterious!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely half a face counts! This is fantastic! So interesting and creative. I would expect nothing less from you. LOL I love this so much. The abstractness of it and the colors are just amazing. Well done my friend. Thank you so much for joining FFO.
ReplyDeleteArt is art and "in the eye of the beholder" is the rest of the face, right? I smiled when I saw this ... good for you. Very clever and creative.

I like it's simplicity!
ReplyDeleteI am SO impressed with your art. LOVE the face. It is a representation. The eye is drawn in and the brain completes the image. You have given ME beautiful art in teabags and handmade paper. I LOVE this post, Barbara.
ReplyDeleteHi, Barbara, I'm very late getting around. Your tea bag piece reminded me so much of a fossil mammal jaw. It's striking. Of course, my interpretation of it may come from volunteering for many years in a fossil lab. Happy creating!
