Big Quilt Project Completely Done

I was planning a King size quilt but ended up with a larger King size bedspread instead. The center square of string blocks was enlarged by adding one border at a time. I just kept adding borders around borders until it covered our bed as a bedspread. The straight lines were machine quilted and the center square of string blocks was tied. The backing is of random larger fabrics sewn together with polyester batting. All fabrics came from my stash. It's not perfect, but after more than a few months work its finally done!

    1. ps you have inspired me to get my huge quilt out to figure out how to get mine done. It's thick flannel both sides with a wool batting. too thick to hand quilt I think as I struggled with it last year-need to decide how to proceed.
